What to do with Kid’s Clothes they’ve Outgrown

Kids grow like weeds. You hardly ever notice how big and tall they’ve become until their clothes become a wee bit tighter and smaller for them. No matter how many clothes you buy for them, it just seem like they always need more. So you grow a pile of clothes that clutters your closets, drawers and bags. When your kids outgrow their clothes, you can dispose them in some productive ways.

Find a new home for your kids’ old clothing, accessories and toys by handing them down to their siblings, your other family members or your friend’s kids who needs them. It is one of the best ways to help out, reuse and recycle your kids’ old clothing.

Clothing swaps are also in on several local and online communities. You can get together with other parents who are also offering their children’s clothes for trade or gifts.

Another positive way of getting rid of your kids’ clutter is through garage and rummage sales. When your pile reached that uncontrollable amount, you can easily organize a garage sale to conveniently sell off items that you no longer need. Cragilist and eBay are also ideal venues for getting something back from the bulk of your kids’ old clothing the fast and easy way. But of course, you can only expect some 50% or less for pricing of your items when you sell them out on through these venues.

    Normally I send my children's outgrown clothes to my family back home in the PI. I have little niece and nephews that can benefit from it. When it comes to buying clothes for my kids, i opted buying it at the consignment store because they are more cheaper but of great quality still.

    I also sell clothing that my little one have outgrown. Some of them are shipped to my family in the Philippines to give to young kids in our neighborhood.

    i wish i can find a clothing swap in my city, it would be practical to swap my little man's outgrown clothes. in the meantime, i give them away to my neighbor who has little boy.
