UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)

Image
UPS or the Uninterruptible Power Supply is a very important gadget to own to protect personal computers from software and hardware error, data loss and system corruption. The on-battery runtime of most uninterruptible power sources is relatively short which is only 5–15 minutes being typical for smaller units, but sufficient to allow time to bring an auxiliary power source on line, or to properly shut down the protected equipment. When I was still running an Internet Cafe business, I am using UPS for my Server PC to protect it from system errors and corruption.  During brownouts, I have no problem in logging out my customers, and charging them the right amount they need to pay according to their usage.  At home, I also use UPS for our computers, especially on my laptop where all of my blogging files are kept.  Although, I used to do file back-ups in weekly basis but, it is still annoying and inconvenient formatting or troubleshooting and fixing errors if you can get rid of the pro

Cooling Fan

Image
As a blogger, I am using my notebook/laptop for long hours.   Thus, a need to use a cooling pad is a must.   A cooling fan, a cooler pad or a chill mat, whatever they might call it, is an accessory for laptop computers that helps reduce its operating temperature. It prevents your laptop from overheating. It uses natural convection to enhance fan cooling, and ensures low power consumption via your laptop's USB port. This is already my second cooling pad, the first one that I bought has two small fans, and sooner I realized that it does not guarantee proper cooling, for I observed that during the first three hours of continuous laptop usage, I can feel the increasing heat.   So, I looked for a bigger fan.   I saw and bought this cooling fan for Php 300 at CDR King.   I t is easy to clean too, I just use a small paint brush to take out the accumulated dusts in and around the fan.  So far I have been using it for 7 months already and I am very satisfied and happy for it functions

Track Ball Mouse

Image
Due to my Trigger Finger illness, I bought a Track Ball Mouse in replacement of the regular mouse. We roam around the Computer stores at the  Cyberzone of SM Fairview Mall to look for it.  Only one store is selling it, and I have only two options to choose from, the A4tech and Logitech Brands.   I have chosen the Logitech Trackman Marble, it is quite expensive, but I think it will be a good buy though.  It costs Php 1,850 ($ 44++).  Track ball mouse as recommended by most of my friends gives superior comfort for either hand you will be using with it.  Because my right hand fingers are limited in mobility at the moment, I am learning how to use it with my left hand.  I am not comfortable using the touch pad of my laptop that’s why I still prefer using a mouse by just connecting it to the usb slot. Well, I’ve been using it for a week now and I find it much comfortable to use.
