How to Teach Children About Money in 7 Easy Steps

Money can be a touchy subject for kids and parents alike, but it's also a topic that needs to be discussed. We want our children to understand the value of money and how it works, but it can be tricky to discuss these concepts without sounding preachy. As a parent myself, I've found that making learning about money fun is one way to get my child interested in the topic without worrying about them feeling like we're pushing an agenda or being lectured at. Here are some fun ways that you can teach your child about money : Let kids invent their own games or create their own money. Let kids invent their own games or create their own money. This works especially well with older children who already have a grasp on financial concepts like spending, saving, budgeting and investing. Let them create their own games using whatever they want as currency — anything from marbles to candy to paper clips could work! If they want to make up actual rules for using this new currency (f

4 Fashion Mistakes That Women Make – And How to Avoid Them

Getting it right when it comes to fashion can be tricky. With new trends appearing every season, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and make choices that you might wish you hadn’t at a later date.

Here, we take a look at some of the most common fashion mistakes that women make, and more importantly, how you can avoid them.

Buying fake designer items

Many women aspire to own designer clothing, but if your budget won’t stretch that far, it can be tempting to buy low quality replicas. The problem with these goods is that most of the time, you can tell that they aren’t the real thing. They won’t have been made with the same care and eye for detail, so you probably won’t be fooling anyone. In addition, they’re often produced in bad conditions with little regard for the workers.

Instead of bowing to the pressure to wear designer, look for high street items that are just as fabulous but kinder to your purse. The overall look will be much better than if you wear fake designer goods.

Flashing too much flesh

Sometimes, less is more when it comes to exposing your skin. You don’t need to bare all to look sexy. If you’ve got a party coming up, consider a classy evening dress. This is the best way to get noticed for all the right reasons.

If you do want to show off your assets, make sure that you choose your outfit carefully. If you’re wearing a short skirt for example, team it with a high neck top. Similarly, if you’re wearing a low cut dress, make sure that it comes to below your knee.

Heels that are too high

There’s no denying that high heels can look amazing. They can give you that little nit of extra height, elongate your legs and make you look slimmer. Even so, this doesn’t mean that they’re comfortable. If you’re wearing shoes that aren’t confident walking in, it will show and you won’t look your best.

Rather than going for towering heels, choose a small kitten heel, a wedge, or even a flat shoe. You’ll definitely thank yourself at the end of a long day on your feet.

Ill-fitting underwear

Underwear should be the basis of any outfit, but it’s something that is often overlooked. If you aren’t carefully thinking about undergarments when you have a special occasion planned, you’re missing out on an opportunity to look even more fabulous. Good underwear can pull you in and push you up in all the right places, and can have a huge impact on your overall finish.

If you’re not sure if you’re wearing the right size bra, get measured. You’ll be amazed at just how much difference it can make.
