Playing poker with your partner

There are plenty of fun things you can do with your family, but some things are just for adults. That’s the way they’re meant to be, and that’s the way they should stay. Every now and then (as often as possible in fact) it’s great to get away from the rest of your loved ones and spend some quality time with your partner, or even on your own.

Thanks to the internet it’s more possible than it has ever been to socialise with other adults when you have responsibilities at home. Sometimes you just want a chat, but you can easily kick back and play some adult games online, like bingo and poker. Sure, it’s not the same as playing face to face; seeing every little flicker in your opponent’s eyes and working out when they’re bluffing; but I’m not a professional poker player, and I don’t have any designs on a jackpot of millions. I just want to have a little bit of fun.

It’s great playing online by yourself, but I’m particularly fond of playing iGamepoker with my partner. Sometimes we both log on and play in the same room, or different rooms and tell each other where there is a fun game. Personally I like it when he looks over my shoulder and gives me advice on what to do. I know what I’m doing myself, but sharing the excitement of online poker between us can really liven up an evening.
