Sunday, Fun Day

I really enjoyed the get together with the two of my best blogging friends Mhel “BlankPixels” and Eihdra “One Proud Momma”.  We met last March 13, 2011, Sunday.

from left to right: Eihdra, Joy, Mhel

My husband and my youngest son Yahmir accompanied me.  We were the first ones to arrive in our meeting place at PureGold Supermart along Monumento, Caloocan City.  While waiting, my two boys roam around, while I was so busy answering text messages from Mhel and Eihdra.  It’s a good thing that I always bring along my mobile landline aside from my cellphone. Eihdra and I were calling each other of our whereabouts, every 10 minutes, ahaha.  Finally after 30 minutes, Mhel arrived, we do some grocery shopping first before we fetch Eihdra at the LRT Station.  We were all so happy to see each other.  You can imagine the three of us who doesn’t refrain nor stop from chatting even while walking getting back to PureGold. J

I thought Mhel’s place is near in our meeting place, well, I was wrong.  It was still a 30 minutes drive from the meeting place.  Anyway, the distance does not matter.

Mhel’s parents were very warm and accommodating. Because it’s almost 1 pm, all of us were already starving.  Yahmir kept on bugging me that he wants to eat already (lol).  The table was already set and prepared with foods by the time we came in.  Though hungry, we still managed to do some posing for picture taking ahaha.  Nobody wanted to leave the table.  Nanay’s Beef and Seafood Kare-Kare were really very delicious, plus the Shrimps and the boneless Bangus (Milk Fish).  To add up the ripe mangoes and watermelon.  The meal was really sumptuous.

the foods!

all smiles though hungry already, except for Yahmir ahaha

We brought Chicharon (pork cracklings),and gave the gift (a microwave oven) to Nanay and Mhel as a token of appreciation. Eihdra bought two Red Ribbon cakes that we forgot to eat ahaha.  We got so many stories and topics to talk about, that the whole afternoon was not enough (lol).

the gift: My sincerest gratitude to Mhel for helping me out, and for the unending patience

Nanay, even entertained us with a song then followed by Eihdra who has a good singing voice. Tatay and Noi (my husband) were busy roaming around the place, taking a look at the nearby fishpond and resort, then had a couple of brandy shots.  Guess what is Yahmir doing? As always, He is playing at the computer at Mhel’s Computer Shop, he’s the lone customer because the shop took a holiday on that special day J.  Eihdra, Mhel and I sat in their sofa the whole time while having a little drinking spree too.

Nanay rendering a song with matching dance number

Eihdra concentrating on her Taylor Swift voice alike, sing it baby!

Enjoying with Tanduay Ice

cheers! Tatay and Noi

Three's Company

Due to Noi’s early office meeting on the next day, we cannot afford to stay much longer. At around 6pm, we packed up to end the day’s party.  On the way back to Monumento, Mhel accompanied us to guide the route/way once again.  We passed by at the famous Dolor’s Kakanin to buy some pasalubong (bring house).  We dropped off Eihdra and Mhel at the LRT station before we went home.  We came home at around 8:30 pm, tired but happy. I slept with a smile on my face J

Hey ladies! (Eihdra, thank you for the VS. To Mhel and Nanay/Tatay, thank you for hosting the get together), I am looking forward in meeting you again in the near future!
