Cozy for the Holidays: Home Heaters for Winter

The Festive Holidays is fast approaching and as the song says, “The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful.” Well, is your home ready for the cold winter months?

While everyone is busy decorating, shopping and doing all their Christmas to-do-list, someone must also take charge of your home’s heating system. Have it checked by a professional to make sure it is working properly so that you can control and monitor the heat all throughout the house.

Hence, while you still have time, consider getting a portable programmable thermostat wherein you can comfortably adjust and control temperature from anywhere in the home.  Its portable comfort control feature provides consistent warmth and coziness as it will automatically check the flow of the heat to save on your heating costs. Your heating system will be working double this cold season so it’s wise to check on all the necessary details to ensure that your home is well insulated and that the vents are clear of any blockage.

A portable space heater with energy-efficient thermostat and timer is also an ideal addition especially if your heating system is no longer at its optimum performance. These are mobile and can be easily transferred to where heating is required or in rooms where the heat flows are ineffective. Don’t wait until everyone’s busy to check on your home’s heating system. Even the staff or crew of service companies are expected to take a holiday break. You wouldn’t want your family or your guests freezing on Christmas Eve feast!

  5. I value the importance of all our senses, esp. the sight and hearing. I had an accident many years ago on my right ear which affected my hearing. Up to this day, I still find it difficult to balance my hearing because of that. So, I agree with all the measures one has to take to take care of their hearing senses.

  11. I am one of those who have grave sight issues. I go see an ophthalmologist annually and I am a candidate for laser treatment. I wasn't taught how to take real good care of my eyes when I was a kid thus my myopic condition.

Last year, I went to see an ENT specialist because I experienced hearing loss on my left ear, It turned out I did the digging way too deep while cleaning my ears. LOL!

Infographics of this kind is very essential and it should be highly regarded by everyone.

  12. These are very helpful tips Sis, do appreciate them. My husband has a hearing problem :-( It is sad but this happens during his younger years when he worked in a construction. It is not fun talking to him when he replied you with out of topic. My son's hearing was test too when he was young and am glad that he does not have hearing problem due to not talking until two years old :-(
