Study Table, a tool to motivate studying

Children find studying difficult and boring especially when they are not used to spend time studying on a study routine after school. Setting up a daily study schedule will help them establish the routine whether he has or has no homework to do. Our responsibility as parents is to create a system to motivate and help our children to improve concentration and make studying more interesting.

Providing your child his own study table is a contributing tool to motivate him to enjoy studying. It is necessary for his study area to be free of distractions. Placing the study table in his room is a better option provided his computer is off when he studies. Provide him a comfortable chair to sit on as well as good lighting to be able to read and work properly. Make sure that his table is clean and equipped with the necessary school supplies and reference books like dictionaries that he would be needing to refrain wasting his study period looking around for the things he needed. Remember that to encourage a kid to study is to make sure his environment is conducive too.



A study table demonstrates the value of education. Once they get used to the habit, they will automatically bring their current activity to an end when study time is approaching. Let your child study on his own and help only if your child asks for it. Teach also your child to organize his things on the study table and leave it clutter free when he is through.


It is our job as parents to encourage our children to develop the love of learning for it will help them achieve success and confidence in their life.

As I already mentioned in my first article, I am a full-time housewife, tending to the daily house chores. Though I have my helper with me, I personally tend to my husband and children's needs. Being in the house all day long makes me bored to the max! It's a good thing, I love to read, and when I'm done reading, I go online and check my accounts in Facebook, Twitter,and email. I started creating my own blog a year ago, but due to my hectic schedule being an ICafe Owner at the same time due to my health problems I wasn't able to pursue it.
